Description
Very-late-night drive-by art, woot~This is something I keep forgetting to upload, and I'm finally fixing that. It's a piece I did for the Good Omens Exchange back near Christmas, for the very-lovely Cinaed.
Description pasted from original post, because I am laaaaazy~~
Crowley and Aziraphale in Prohibition America. Prime tempting turf, naturally, what with all that repression; what better excuse for a trip abroad? Also excellent spirits, music, and dancing. Perhaps Aziraphale tagged along for a bit of a holiday and booze, ostensibly for the purpose of thwarting? In any case, their wiling/thwarting/drinking has just been interrupted by a police raid on the speakeasy.... and they're both juuuust drunk enough to have forgotten they can easily poof out of the vicinity if they need to. Aziraphale has had a few too many cookies lately (I'd call them biscuits, but this IS America, after all), and Crowley is trying to shove his somewhat portly inebriated friend out the window before they're arrested, while (of course) rescuing some of the good booze. Sure, they could simply miracle some up later, but it just isn't the same, you know.
My utmost apologies for any glaring period inaccuracies! I confess I procrastinated and then matters were suddenly down to the wire, and I didn't have time to do more than brief cursory research on setting and costume. I hope the picture's virtues outweigh its flaws though, or at least lend them dubious charm. If my efforts have made you smile, my goal is fulfilled!
Crowley and Aziraphale are from Good Omens and belong to Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Too funny!Β I can totally see them doing that.Β I like how you draw Aziraphale a little on the plump side - the description in the book indicates that he's supposed to be like that, but it doesn't usually show up in drawings.Β

...OMG, dA, are you trying to tell me I didn't comment on this one? FFS, what's wrong with me *headdesk* This and the snow angel are in my bookmarks list, I mean my browser bookmarks list, and I swear I look at them at least every couple of days. The thought of you drawing more of them has me shaking with anticipation, no lie. This one, in the same way that the snow angel just nails Crowley, speaks volumes about the two of them as a couple. Always covering for each other; always watching each other's backs. And, you know, the being so drunk it doesn't occur to them they could just blip out of there. So, so very human.

Your ridiculously amazing artistic abilities + the story in your description + the A/C slash that has been and forever will be embedded in my mind = One flipping awesome picture that has officially made my day.
ALSO.
I envy your Crowley. I'm fairly okay at sketching Aziraphale, but Crowley never fails to give me hell when I'm drawing him. I'm pretty sure he does it on purpose.

Admit it, Crowley let the cops know just so he could "help" Azi out the window.

I love how Aziraphale and Crowley are just too human sometimes. Even to the point where they forget they have supernatural powers or rather just choose not to use them. Because you know. It's just not the same, lol.
"Why are you rummaging through the closet? Can't you just 'poof' on some clothes?"
"Yes, but where's the fun in that? Honestly."

I love this! LOVE this! Every little detail! Azi's shoe falling off, his dodgy elbow patches, Crowley trying to smuggle bottles of booze under his arm while simultaneously shoving poor Azi's fat bottom out that window. BRILLIANT. Too cute. Love the expressions and everything else about this.

Awesome!!!
Now I can't help but imagine those two in American during the 1920s. They'd be so screwed over if the cops came, with no miracle-ing in sight.

What did you use to make this?? I'm just amazed at the inking, it's really different.
And the over all color really gets the feel. I love both of their poses and expressions, they're so tense. And Cro's sunglasses and hair is perfect.

Photoshop, actually. XD Used a pretty basic brush in a very dark brown for all the lines, copied and blurred the lines layer (then reduced the opacity to half) to give them a bit more 'weight', and then slapped some scanned paper texture over the whole thing. ^____^

Ahaha, and I just finished rereading this! These two are the ultimate bro-mance, even if Neil once said he loathed the term. Definitely seems like one of those situations they'd get themselves into, with poor Aziraphale desperately wanting to rectify if not at least charm his way out. And Crowley? Just happy that the night was good and that a few rules were broken (though glad that he can at least save his friend).
Though how they'll fit through that tiny window, I'm just not sure

I was initially all 'Oooh, a not-too-pudgy Aziraphale, yay!' as well as admiring Crowley's glasses. I then read the description. Then I scrolled up again to see if there was anything glaringly inaccurate.
And then I saw Crowley's hand. It looks so flat and unhelpful I can't help but think the obvious.
Which is that copping a feel while in danger is far better than a feel copped at any other time, not that it's an error. (If it is an error, shouldn't there be wrinkles where Crowley is pushing? How is he twisting around like that anyway? Argh, I just ruined this for myself.)
It's still amusing though and makes my mind run off in amusing directions.

*laughs* Your comment actually made me realize that same thing bothered ME too, back when this first went up at the exchange, and it just didn't jump out at me last night. Added some more shading and wrinkles though; any better now? (Also it's worth noting that Crowley is holding up a lot of Aziraphale's weight with his shoulder, too.) And I had two friends pose this for me when I drew it, so yes, he actually *can* twist around that far too (I know I'm not that flexible, but I guess my friend is!). We'll credit it to his serpentine qualities. XD
