A recent commission, finished yesterday. It's wonderful to be given monetary excuse to paint things I would want to paint anyway, but wouldn't otherwise be able to justify the time for.Anyway! Yet more Bioshock art, lalalala~~
Pasting the comment I made about it over on tumblr:
And it’s finished! In time to print for Otakon, WOOOOOOOO. for the whole two people who will even notice
I wish metallics scanned better, because the lettering looks spiffy in person. Overall I’m pretty happy with it; right now though I’m happiest that it’s DONE. |D
Also last night after I finished this I said to my roommate: “I have noticed a thing about this fandom.”
“What’s that?”
“It makes me draw dudes who are not pretty.”
I RATHER LIKE THAT.

Well hell not that you can't draw anybody who isn't pretty but drawing a face like Andrew Ryan takes some class and some inner depth to his strong and rather powerful looking nature.
Speaking of that you carried through with that same stature of the man and really not just dressing him up in but even the background like in a sense here's the glory of Rapture, suck it!
Really marvel at how your able to add such vibrant colors and while they're aren't bright they really manage to bring out the Ryan and his look, thinks its just the way you added the detail but hey no complaints here.
Plus adding in that classic phrase certainly will win you some extra credit, nothing better than a game of golf or the way that man can easily stare you down, almost like a statue he's be.
Still wonderful work Eldanis, please keep it up.

I think it depends on what category you upload things under, but *technically* if something is fanwork, it's supposed to go in a subsection of the fanart category, and there is no print option when you do that. Obviously if you put something in another category and nobody catches you at it, then you get past the rule. >.>

Glad to see this finished. I too am having trouble with the humidity, trying to get pages done. Was going to write earlier with a couple of comments: A) Have you heard from the A.D. at ZC yet--then realized that they are all out in San Diego, so you probably won't hear from them for days to come. B) Will you be back from Baltimore in time for the August meeting at Frank's? (If the answer is no, then I'll have to spam you with my latest pencils).
Anyway, the artwork looks great. As impressed as ever with your abilities! (And growing more impressed every time I see new work).

And yep, I'll definitely be back for the meeting. It's been a while since I've managed to make it to one of the regular (i.e. at Frank's) ones, so I'd hate to miss it.
