Last thing, I promise. Apologies for the spam!

Yet another Good Omens Exchange piece. One thing I appreciate about this exchange is how it always makes me stretch my abilities, because it doesn't have strict stylistic boundaries like commissions do, and I always find myself putting in FAR more effort than I ever would for pay. Funny how we do that for things we love.

The prompt for this was the late 1700s, masks, and a fancy gambling hall in London. The research process was really interesting - for instance, I was able to get around putting people in wigs precisely -because- the prompter asked for late 1700s. The French Revolution was going on at the time, and therefore the English were boycotting most things French, which meant a drastic reduction in lace and other fanciness in fashion (ladies' gowns went from being the width of fireplaces to being slender, high-waisted, and Greek-inspired in a matter of a couple years), and also a lack of powder for wigs. Aaaand thus there is a sudden upsurge of portraiture from the time featuring men with artfully tousled natural hair.

Maybe I find this all funnier than anyone else does. Um.

Also Crowley just rolled snake eyes. |D
