Description Hello everybody!  


With "The Desolation of Smaug" released, I guess it was only a matter of time before I did more "The Hobbit" fanart. And Evangeline Lilly/Tauriel is such a beautiful elf, I didn't even have to think twice before deciding which character to do first.


There are so many things I want to say right now, but I am soooo tired/in a hurry to travel (Christmas holidays, yeah! ) so I will just stick to basics. 3B, 6B, 8B pencils for the background, mechanical pencils (which I use more and more often these days) for everything else. The hair was done alternating indenting/erasing parts, more details here: joanna-vu.deviantart.com/art/T…

As a big fan of the classic books of JRRT - movies mean nothing to me and Evangeline Lilly was the worst cast for an Elf since that daughter of the moron rock singer. However, your work is stunning and make her look okay.

I know what you mean. I am also book-obsessed, some years ago I was really upset about book adaptations into films. Now I got used to them, i just know that they are a totally different story from the book.

By all dwarves of Moria! Is this real or is a Saruman's spell? I only can say...SPECTACULAR!!!!      I love Tauriel   and I LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOVE this drawing.   The hair is absolutely awesome   (for me, this is the most dificult to draw  ), the eyes are from other world   and the shine of the dagger is absolutely FANTASTIC!
