Description Hello everybody!

I'm still alive and kicking. The last weeks have been tough but I'm back to drawing now.

Soooo, here is Lee Pace as Thranduil from "The Hobbit". Drawn with graphite pencils and a bit of white gouache for details on his clothes and hair. And by the way Happy Belated Birthday Lee!

May I ask how you built the background on left part ?

Thank you very much Cloud!   

The background on the left was done with too many alternating layers: shade with graphite-blend-remove graphite with kneaded eraser-blend-repeat. Normally this trick works fine for clouds/smoke effect but here I used decaDry laser print paper which makes it almost impossible to remove graphite (and when I managed, it was patchy), that's why I had to do so many layers.
