Description The 8th piece of "28 February days of color" challenge.
My take on the famous Mona Liza, I thought she might need some more colors, kinda came out Jersey Shore looking like xD

I will be painting and uploading something every single day this month, and I would love if you all take part in it - comment, share or make suggestions with what should I paint next! ^^

Acrylic and white gel pen on heavy paper.
11x14" / 28x35.5 cm

Painting this woman in a colorful way is a real challenge... Even in a natural way.

Let me show you my Mona Lisa. I find many mistakes too, but it's really complicated to paint her completely similar, so I understand your comment down here.

I like how you used different colors on the face, I got stuck mostly on the orange =]

Wo-o-ow, very cool idea!

The only thing is that she actually looks in the other way, so her eyes should be more right, like in the original painting, I think.

And maybe her nose could be thinner.

But anyway, all other things are flawless, and of course it's not an exact copy but in another style, I understand it .

So be sure that this rework is awesome !

There are a lot of things that are wrong with it that just weren't working out.. there is a lot more shading on the original which just looked very odd in this style. The eyes are almost at the right place, but they look like they are not because there is a lot more shadow on the original... Overall I'm not really happy with it, I just couldn't really use too many colors for her... the only fun I had was around the eyes =x
Thank you for your comment

Yeah, I know about shading, he used a lot of sfumato mode in this painting. I haven't mentioned it because I think that you've dealed with shades just perfectly, including around eyes too. And face contour is exactly as on original painting, well done !

You're welcome .
