Description i think the basic question of my art is how much can you remove from an image and still have it be recognizable

i couldn't think of a more recognizable image to play with than the mona lisa

inlcudes the stock Paper_Impasto_25 by

Pushing limits is always fun, but its more fun if you push just a little too much

I think you could have gotten much more experimental by removing even more elements and abstracting everything a bit further, seeing how far you could push it before it became unrecognizable.

i like the idea and the execution of this . . . does the thumbnail look too much like the real thing? . . . i think you could remove a few pieces and make it totally unrecognizable as ml, on the other hand if you left only a couple of other small pieces, i.e., eyes, it will probably always be recognizable . . . beyond what you were trying to do, i really like the 3D effect here . . .

it looks too washed out on the thumbnail
and yes more like the original

well, at least it's not about the thumbnail . . . and the full copy looks great imho

yes
its a surprise sometimes to see the thumbnails
sometimes they look fine other times its like "no one will click on that"
i like the fullsize 2
