1st really what the story about?

Uh basically it's told from Jafar's POV, about how how he became royal vizier wanting to do good for the people and make a difference but their government is so corrupt nothing he does makes a difference and he gets blamed for everything that's wrong with Agrabah. He was married to Scheherazade before the sultan took her away from him and then she died, and Jafar wants to find the lamp to wish wish for her back to life or something.

Nasira is Jafar's sister from the video game Nasira's Revenge. Interestingly enough, she's loosely inspired by a character from the 1001 Nights. The younger brother of the evil magician (Jafar) to be exact. Additionally, the plot is similar to Return of Jafar, but I think it actually works better.

In history/mythology/idk Scheherazade was forced to marry a sultan known for growing bored of his wives and having them killed, so she would tell him stories every night with cliff hangers so he’d have to wait to hear the rest, and that’s supposed where 1,001 Nights comes from which is a collection of Arabic folk tales including Aladdin. In the Starkid musical Twisted though Scheherazade is Jafar’s wife who’s taken from him by the sultan and was Jasmine’s mother.

But in the musical she marries Jafar and is later taken from him by the sultan and Jasmine is her daughter.
