I like the emotion. The way he's running his finger around the rim of her halo reminds me of how a man does to his woman's hair. He seems sweet on her at a glance, but looking at his eyes and his sagged face muscles, it's almost like something else is on his mind. Maybe guilt or regret, maybe he's keeping a secret from her... not sure! I just get this 'cold stare'/'1000 yard stare' feeling from it, some sort of worrisome something-a-nother he's keeping from her. I could be reading too much into it, but if it was a happy moment I feel like his eyes would be dilated by the light and 'focusing' on that light.
Would love to hear some backstory from the artist if there is one

And let me tell you, you are right. Ok, there is not so big backstory about both, but I want to draw a couple, you can feel the love for each other even with lot of worries, since their love wouldn't be accepted from the others. On my German Website I discriped it like this:
dedicated to everyone, who defied the well-meaning advice of the opinionated and well experienced people, and listened to their own heart to make the only right decision.

his pictuer is my favorit piece, i really love it even if it is very old.

I am glad you are interested ^ ^ I am actually trying to publish the first piece of it soon, sadly it is a lot to read to really get inside it so I doubt I will show it up here
( This pic actually reminds me a little of my book. The lesser bad guy falls in love with a girl from the people of light ( not a main thing in the book but one of my favourite parts.) He has never felt like that before and he tryes to denye it but soon he starts to care more and more and when darkness is spreading he protects her from everything...) I will see if I can show you a some pages or so from that scene

Hmm, well actually my patience is pretty bad...x3 for the most. But I am not giving up on this book, I love it so <3 ^ ^ Sadly it is written on sweedish but I am going to write it on english too since I want to publish it even in other parts of the world. I can translate one page or so for you though if you want to see how I write? but as it is now, this is what I will have time for... a loot to do right now =/ both good and bad I guess x) ( and I am sloooow writing with a key board
