Benthic Mermaid (Sirena funditus)

Overview: Buries itself partially in the sand and waits for its prey to pass by. Has the ability to change the color of its entire body to camouflage itself with the sand around it, but thinks it looks fine the way it does so doesn't bother.
No one is quite sure what this mermaid does all day.

Habitat: Anywhere comfortable, it’s not too picky.

Diet: Fish, shrimp, cephalopods, and unopened bags of chips that happen to drift within arm's reach.

Danger Level: Extremely Low--We have it on record that you accidentally stepped on five of them on your last visit to the beach and that all of them were “like, totally cool with it, dude”.

Sightings: Very common, but frequently mistaken for an inanimate object due to its excessive quantities of chill.

Additional notes: It lives a far better life than any of us ever will.
