Just finished up at the New York Anime Festival, and some of you guys might have found out about the exciting new comic projects coming out from Udon Entertainment. one of them is of course the new street fighter 3 comic series drawn by yours truly!so here's a higher rez of the fully done up image

Street Fighter III is still my favourite fighter to this very day so I really REALLY like this! Awesome work that does the source material justice.

Hey Joe did you also do cover art on the alpha fighter dvd 2 disc set? Because it looks very much like your work. The dvd has street fighter alpha and street fighter alpha2 I think it is.

such awesome linework dude, love the angle and composition. ryu looks real bad ass.
not sure about the colors tho, not a big fan of the glowing skin tones.

What's even more awesome is that I sold Yun's skateboard at my old skate shop job last year. I believe it was either Bucky Lasek's or Jamie Thomas'.

What I really like about Street Fighter III is the animation of the characters and their art-style. I understand every artist has their own style but I really hope you give it that right effect to keep close to the art from the Sega Dreamcast title. The fluidity of the actions and movements. And of course favorite character is Elena. I'm looking forward to it. Keep up the good work.

Wait, they're making a Street Fighter III comic? They didn't even finish the Street Fighter II story, they never got around to the tournament. Are they just jumping ahead, or do they actually plan to finish SF II?

they're continuing sf 2 with street fighter 2 turbo coming out this fall. street fighter 3 and the chun li legends will come out simultaneously with the sf2 turbo book.

man, beyond the great colors and entire unity of this composition, the parallels u've created w/ this piece r awesome. i refer particularly to the way Urien and Akuma are position high and adjacent to each other right next to the final boss of the series: Gill. i could refer to these 3 as the trinity of the game the way u've ingeniously positioned them. ;]
