this is a "Pony Version"
of an emotional story point of my Equestria Girls Crossover Fiction: "Beyond Life and Death"
where Twilight Sparkle falls in love with a boy who eventually dies of cancer.
But, BEFORE he surcomes to his fatal disease..Twilight become pregnant with his child.
shortly after his death, Twilight gives birth to a son
who remarkable looks almost Exactly like his late father
(to which Twilight decides to name her only child after him.)
The purpose of this drawing is 'Emotion'.
while Twilight is happy to be a mother, she misses her love terribly
and, can't help but despare that her son will NEVER know his father.
Despite using reference to get some "animal anatomy" right
I find drawing horses to be ALOT easier than drawing humans (Ironic, isn't it??)
I also compare this type of art to Disney's 'The Lion King' and 'Bambi'
in that I am drawing stylized/semi-realistic animals with human emotions

At first, she didn't
but, an event transpired (both in Canon and this Fanon) in which she acquired them.
in the MLP universe, having both Wings and a Horn is a 'big deal' for ponies.
(I drew her as such, so to feature a foal that also had these features
Β as 'baby alicorns' are so rare in the MLP universe, that they are almost non-existent.)

Still working that all out.
but, I wager it was something Special that earned her the right of such a status.
One possible scenario is her bravery in protecting Alex from his abusive father,
when it would've been much easier to just mind her own business (especially since Alex was too scared to ask for help)
protecting somepony else, regardless of the danger and personal preference,
seems like the ideal trait for any true Royal, and would certainly earn her the Title of Alicorn Princess in my way of thinking.

I didn't started getting interested in MLP, until the Equestria Girls movie
(and, finding out that the series is run by Craig McCracken's wife.
Β the former being the creator of The Powerpuff Girls, one of my favorite cartoons)
There are still some things I am growing accustomed to.
but, for my Artwork and Fiction, I put my own unique spin on things.
for one thing, I have Twilight's love interest (the father of the foal shown here)
becoming a ghost, and being portrayed similar to Nickelodeon's 'Danny Phantom'
That much has gotten people's attention.

In my personal opinion, Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo is like the pony version of Disney's Goofy.
which doesn't mean she's Stupid, or even offensive.
but a funny character that makes people laugh from her antics
(and, both quite possibly are single parents to a child)
the show is quite funny (and, I like to compare it to Bambi and The Lion King)
and, in some ways, it makes me remember a time when I myself owned a horse.
