Description
The first concept for the Tree of lost Souls, here you can get a better feeling for the actual size of that thing. There are treadmills, ladders and scaffolds all over the monstrous thing.The idea behind those is that while the evergreen trees continue more or less as before, some of the deciduous trees turn into some kind of magical fed unlife, growing ever larger without ever budding or growing new leaves.

Well I had this image in mind, unfortunately I lacked the skill to really show the size and mass of the thing.... there are platforms and ladders and scaffolds around it for people to get up and down... it's used to hang certain witches and warlocks that are otherwise difficult to keep... well... dead...

Showing details and size is pretty hard when you have a dark background and even harder, when it is against the light source since you just have silhouettes then....but in my eyes you still did a great job!
And interesting information! A prison for zombie witches/warlocks?

Well there are few things more tempting to a human being than cheating death (and if you keep in shape even more so), especially if you have gotten your dark magic to look after more mundane matters...
And since there is no such thing as a free meal (let alone free eternal youth), most methods are a bit... unsavoury?
But the trees, even though they draw their existance on similar powers, brute force most of the attempts to bind something as delicate as a human mind and body into a magical pattern to oblivion...

Love the different grey-blue shaded silhouettes. The branches look like spider legs or monster claws. Makes the tree look 'alive' and poised to strike at any moment.

Impressive scenery, the crane gives an idea about the size of the tree. Makes me wonder what you’re going to do with it - doesn’t have to be dreadful, necessarily, depends very much on the lighting.

Yeah it's huge and that always bothered me in the original version with the two witchhunter characters, that you really could not get a hint of the size, even with the extreme pov. It's not really higher than a Sequoia but certainly much wider in crown diameter, and since those trees usually stand alone, they can be seen for miles.

In klein sieht es bombastisch aus! Die Stimmung und Farben sind wundervoll und erinnern an diverse düstere / ältere Filme.
Würde gut zu einem Kopflosen Reiter oder "Galgenmänchen" passen.

Ja ich hab es nie voll ausgerendert, deswegen der körnige Look. Es war eigentlich nur als WIP -Füller gedacht, hätte nie gedacht das es so ankommt (das fertige Bild an dem ich vor einem Jahr ewig rumgerudert hab, hat natürlich wieder nur einen Bruchteil der Faves

These trees are not directly dangerous. Even useful in some way. But you probably would not want to have them grow anyway near. Given the size probably like miles away
