Stanzas of love's whispers eased through lips of insincerity
Echoes of what any foolish heart yearns to believe
What do you ache to know as truth?
Could a heart, nae a soul be blinded so to the rays of reality's light?
Visions of what once was dance as shadows of clouds casting doubt
Melody changes, chords of minor ranges are struck
Dream founded in ethereal desire turns on its heel to one of pain
Lost in the mysts of its now darkened demeanor
Your spirit cries out, tears of blood form a river seeking, asking
Where is the truth of love's passions?
How could your heart, even your soul be so blinded to the reality of darkest lies?
Like a drowning human you fight to the surface of this now nightmare
Passing upwards past wave upon wave of imposed self incrimination
Self respect is contained in a riptide you struggle to overpower
Bursting out of this sea of torment you gasp into your spirit the fresh air of wanting
Needing of one you long for flows ore you like a fresh brush of angels wings
Will you be there my love to resurrect me?
Can it be that your love is the finality to the searching of eternal life's blissful truths?
And a sigh contains a thankful praise that in the dawning light cast you lay
Soft, warm, and oh so contented, skin to skin, bringing the warmth
Of the south wind upon wings of blessed heavenly realization

~~~ The line is between the intentional death of my service dog Truffles and the reality of never seeing her again. It was like the loss of a child for me. I still have a very hard time believing she is gone. The man who killed her has two felonies filed against him. But him being convicted will not return her to me. Thank you for your comment.
