Description
India! This is my take on their gorgeous saris, with a background that is *supposed* to look like Indian sand art.Part of a series I'm doing called "Disney-style Princess of the World" or something like that. I'm doing it for three reasons:
1: Practice drawing in the "Disney Princess" style and using crayola colored pencils
2: To get to draw all different types of beautiful traditional clothing from all over the world (with a twist- I know the clothes are not 100% accurate)
3: Because its fun.

I love your Disney-style Princess of the world series and I suggest you should try to do Romania in Romanian traditional dress! You can ask me anything about it if you would like to!

I don't mean to sound racist, but shouldn't her skin be a little darker?

Very beautiful first piece in the series. I love the detail in her sari & the background. I have to say that I think India has some of the most beautiful color palettes and design sensibility.
I love the idea of this project you're doing! I'm really excited to see what other countries you'll be doing. I'd love to see one from Korea, Tibet, or Mexico.
