Incase some details went missing in the previous submission.Ahhhhh, seeing the first takes me back. All I did was snag the enlarged sprites from TohoKingdom, meshed them together and began recolouring it PIXEL by PIXEL. And yet it has received the most views and downloads of all my sprite editing work. Its mind boggling, considering better works have been produced since then.
And honestly, looking back on it, it is one of my worst. Which is why I decided to destroy it with V2! I have to thank the late Inazuma101 (Who got his account hacked) for showing me GIMP when Sonic sprites were a big thing (Talking 2008 - 2011 era, it was NUTS ... Speakonia, christ XD) and for the longest time I left it alone. It wasnt until the advent of Shin Godzilla that I started to get into it. Have not looked back since. Death Ghidorah Femto is testiment to that.
Also ... NO PHANTOM BAT OR ALIEN RAZORCLAW SPRITES USED THIS TIME!
. Oh no, wanted Death Ghidorah Femto to be something truly special. For years I spent looking for decent dragon sprite sheets, which are hard to come by. Last week, near the very bottom of a Google image search ... A eurika moment. "Lost Dragon". The sheet was broken but it did not matter. As a bonus it had a FULL flying cycle - Thats why I use the Phantom Bat alot. Also, that tail! Everything was set from that day on. Thank you Galaxy! (I think?) What you see is the actual size comparsion, and obviously, V2 fits the bill way more. Also got inspriation from the ever awesome to try using Godzilla legs. By the way, his Death Ghidorah from 2012 is still the most screen accurate Death Ghidorah sprite to this day : www.deviantart.com/art/Pre-Bre…
Speaking of which, Death Ghidorah's design was always a challenge to recapture, due to how distinct it is. In sprite form it is a nightmare. That is why I thew in the towel on that front by the time the heads went under the cut and paste button.
Have not been this satisfied since Gamera Leo, despite the fact Version 2 is not flawless.
A Fully downloadable version will be released at some point. Its definitely in the cards thats for sure

I have the same happening to one of mine xD. Its by far the most view and faved but in my opinion not my Best work. I think the second version is really cool but so is the 2012 version!

I find this ironic. I felt this way about my original Mothra Leo sprite.
As for the sprite itself; this is quite an improvement. I had only watched Rebirth of Mothra 1 once before starting the project of my sprite. Of the three, I found it to be the least interesting with merely a boot-leg Ghidorah antagonist. But what I'd forgotten was how massive the creature was. Desghidorah was oddly bulky. Everyone seems to be shifting toward using Godzilla pieces for it.
I like how large you made the wings, as well as the added details in the armored plating across the wings, along the necks, and down the tail. It gives him a jagged rock-like appearance.
I'm glad you didn't waste your time or drive yourself crazy by trying to add the odd white features to Desghidorah's face. I find them to be superfluous; though I enjoy that you have added a light colored grey portion onto the upper portions of his heads.
Now I must confess...When I saw the Trailer, I found myself thinking this was your entry for the Shin Godzilla Death Ghidorah. It gave me a good inspiration for my Shin Death Ghidorah.

Can understand why you felt that way with Leo.
I have yet to see any of them, thank god for Japanese kanji and Google! Keep in mind, it was set in the Heisei Era were big and bulky are beautiful. Lol.
The problem with just using Anguirus sprites on reflection is, his legs are tiny on those frames and ends up making Death Ghidorah rather puny. Godzilla's legs have just the right amount of mass, it is the positioning that provides a challenge.
You know whats funny? The wings you see here have been shrunk by 15% from their original size. Yeah, the original's is huuuuuuge. The armor plating was by far the most tedious part of the process, but also the most rewarding. That Lost Dragon sheet really came in handy for that armor. Tried to recreate the formation seen on the necks with only minor success.
Agreed to a T! Seriously, I blame the Bandai toy for giving people the wrong impression about the white hue. In actual fact, that white is nearly non existent on the prop/suit. But that being said, the faces had to have some brightness to make out details. I am glad you appreciate these touches.
Handy hint, look out for a Shin Godzilla emblem
