That’s a tough question heheh. It’s really a build up of things that I think add to a dynamic image. Quick high-level answer: I start with super simple/rough shapes. If those shapes work at that level, then I have a solid foundation. Along with that, make sure it works in gray scale. This will solidify the foundation even more. (Β  www.robotpencil.net/tutorials/ Β has a good tutorial on this: "How to improve your values” or this book is great for foundation as well:Β  www.amazon.com/Picture-This-Ho… Β  For pushing form a bit more, this book is a pretty good reference:Β  www.amazon.com/Force-Dynamic-L… Β ) From there, I start building up color. Finally, The accumulation of blurs, motion lines, slight shape warping and etc. all add up. Phew! It’s a lot… but hope this helps!
