Description
Young Kingfisher - one of 6 boys who were rescued, and were all released back into the wild this morning. You can tell it's young because of a white spot on it's beak. When they become adults, the beak is more curved, and the white spot disappears. They also become very slim.
New Zealand native bird - and subspecies to the Sacred Kinfisher of Australia.

It's great I love the "pattern" of bokeh behind the bird.

Is that natural look of bokeh in this lens? what lens did you use here?

I'm not sure what 'bokeh' stands for - background? The background is bush, but the bird was in an aviary, with black netting just in front of the bush, so not totally natural.
The lens I used was a 75-300mm, that I had back in my film camera days, but it's still a great lens.

Bokeh is that blurred background in a picture with a low DOF. A shape of this blur depends usually on the lens. it this case it's shape is very special, I have seen nothing similar to that - and it gives to the photo very special look and feeling.
