First piece of 2022!If I'm being honest, I really don't like how this one came out. Mostly because of the composition. It feels really off, and it probably would have been better if I redrew most of it from a different angle, but I already sank a lot of time into this piece and didn't want to let that effort go to waste. That aside though, I did still have fun making this piece.
This was my first time attempting smears (or something like them). The smears for Rudy's hands could definitely use some work, but I like how the ones on Wario came out. I also think the colors came out nice too. Wanted to use the exact same colors as the game (although I did have to cheat a bit when it came to shading Rudy's torso). I think it came out pretty cool. I also like how the background came out, even though I wish I did it from a slightly different angle. I know the pillars aren't originally there when Rudy's awakened but I thought they would look cool and make the background feel a little less empty.
Overall, I'm actually pretty mixed on this piece but I still had some fun with it.
