I saw this and my mouth dropped. It is so unique and eerily beautiful, great work on the crosshatching and I love the little bits of warm colors. And is it like a little aardwolf or something?

Haha, I feel I could do a much better job now. This thing is so old! I do still like the idea though. The animal itself is a Maned Wolf, famous for its long legs.

I do believe those legs were designed for stepping on tiny people, and causing mass destruction. I was just thinking of the reaction if he walked through a busy town.

I have never been amazed at crosshatching before
but this is some amazing crosshatching haha. It gives the piece a really wonderful texture and instantly makes it stand out.

Hahaa thanks! Cross hatching is something I do without thinking, I automatically start cross hatching on most of my sketches without actually realising i'm doing it. Though the cross hatching tecknique is getting a little repetetive in my work so i'm trying to expand my material range right now but I really appreciate your compliments.

Ahhhhhmahgod, crosshatching! It has such a neat effect, especially with the colour underneath. Makes the red look like it's really glowing (:
I think we used the same reference photo. I recognize that awkwardly raised hind leg (it looks totally fine in yours, but grossly deformed in mine. Gave me such a headache)
