Description
Had this sat lost within the confines of my hard drive for ages now. A quick design for the tripods in HG Wells' classic novel. They're described as looking quite graceful with animalistic movement which underlies they're extremely destructive capabilities.
Also, yes. It does kind of look like an oyster and a deck chair.

That Tripod is horrifying! So in other words, great job man! The Tripod basket takes a minute to notice, but I can't really care so much because the rest of the picture is so damn awesome!

Nice, I like how you caught how the book describes the legs being made out of sliding parts and no wheels or wheel like parts while giving them a slightly more modern feel. Quite a nice complement to Martin Bowers amazing retro style fighting machines he made for his sadly never published visual novel.

Yeah, I agree- in the book they're described as being made up of loads of sliding parts so I had in my mind something very smooth and almost organic looking. Thanks for commenting!
