Part 04 of mr Unpronounceables latest adventures...This is a pretty awful one, sorry... some of the stuff i come up with, i don't know... I promise there wont be any stabbing or grotesque monsters for at least a couple of episodes...the homunculus i actually had a dream about... except that in my dream i was trying to feed it strips of bleeding meat to moisten it up...

Great episode of Mr. U! I love your rendition of a
Homunculus. One question though? When writing Mr. U do you have a full panel by panel script or do you just feel each episode out as it comes?

thanks! um, alittle from column a and a little from column b. alot of the time, the rest of the strip will blossom out of a single idea or panel. for instance, the image of mr u in the tank in 'against the sky' was the starting point. it really depends on the particualr one though. mostly theyre pretty planned out.. blah, im rambling...

I kinda saw that last part coming though, its very reminiscent to one of the previous comics in where he meets and kills himself.

thanks! and i know its repetitive, but there's a reason, I gravitate towards recurring motifs, recurring nightmares... I think of Mr U's existence as a recurring nightmare happening to a multifaceted consciousness across an infinite time span... Be assured it will happen again, haha- actually 'spoiler alert' the next episode will make that plain, a few weeks off however.

I really hope I can buy a compilation of all mr. unpronouncable sometime in the near future. Really. It's easier to read than butter. er.. I mean..Can't you do anything to butter? it's such a push over.

glad you like! there has been one compiled book out but with a tiny and localised run, (100 copies in Auckland, NZ.) The more I do of these Mr u strips the more i feel like he is coming into his own, so Yeah! there will be a book out in the future. probably not until ive brought this particular run of adventures to a grinding halt. That could be a while...hopefully... In any (almost) all his adventures are in my gallery....

bt:w. colouring is better here than before, saturation levels match together and little changes in shadow are subtle enought to fit together as a whole.
(or could it be that yellow gives delicious contracts to the whole thing?)

thanks! yeah I have been doin some determined and structured practising, lots of photo refernce stuff for light etc... next one is in the deep freyer as we speak, ready to come out dripping ith undercooked batter...
