I didn't keep an exact tally of how long, but I'd estimate 40-50 hours (over the course of 10 days). The first time I knit a Doctor Who scarf, it took me triple that time!

It came out great, looks exactly like the scarf that the one Doctor had. (I never can keep up with the number, I'm sorry!)
Oh wow. Then knitting is definitely something to pick up when you want to have something to be busy with. And then make pretty things!
