How do you get her hair so dark? Liquid Graphite?

I just grabbed my 6B-8B, made some graphite and just sponged it over, then went over with a thick layer with the same pencil.

Hey! I just made the hair really dark with super dark pencils (5B-8B) then I took a new/clean eraser to take out the light bits.

Lol but I have those pencils but they're not that dark and thin

I shaded it in first, then used a really clean and sharp eraser to take away the highlight lines.

No I didn't use a white pencil in the hair, it's all done with pencil and eraser. Pain in the butt actually.

Yup just regular white staedtler eraser.
I had the basic outline of the white highlights of the hair and went over it with the eraser for a smoother look.

it looks great! sure it's a little bit messy but that doesn't matter since you obviously demonstrate great drawing skillz!
i would spend a little more time on the shading. you got the tones down quite well but do a bit more blending so that it doesn't look as smudgy.
