Description
This scene is from The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton (1899/1904), I wanted to draw a version of it with the BBC Sherlock and John (2010), while trying to imitate the style of Georges Barbier (1920s). I love anachronisms!

In the end, I think I tried to do too many things at once. But then again, challenging yourself is the best way to improve! The last thing I added was the vase of roses, because it seemed a bit empty, and also because such a romantic little scene deserves some roses! They were referenced from a Barbier picture I think is called "L'Aveu Difficile".

I'm super happy with how Sherlock turned out, but I'm not sure about John. I might have to redo his face. And maybe that hand.

Now with 100% daintier John!hand (shut up, it's art deco. manly hands do not belong here) and 44% more realistic John!face!!
