DescriptionSo I pretty much worked on this all day, seeing as it's my day off. I've got a trade and commission to work on, so this'll be the only personal art for a while yet.Not sure who all remembers him, but here's my character Di. Out of all my characters I probably draw him the most. Not sure why! I've definitely tweaked his design a little bit; if anyone remembers his reference sheet . He's big and intimidating and I wanted him to look it, so I've fixed his proportions, changed his horns, and. . . well just did a lot of minor tweaks that I think helped a lot.
This image uses the same gradient map as my other most recent pic (Drejrael). I was going to color it, but then I decided I don't know what color Di really is (since I want to change that too), so have the gradient map.
I apologize for the lazy rain. . . I originally made hundreds of dots to create rain and then realized I had done it straight onto the picture. It took me about two hours to color over all of the dots and by the time I was done, I really wasn't motivated to make rain anymore.. .

Haha!! Well thank you! I like his normal colors too but neither of his parents are those colors, so I want him to look more related to them XD I'll work something out that's cool, hopefully.

Now that is quite some detail! Having lazy rain has probably been a good idea because too much detail in the rain might draw away the focus from the amazing character! Now where to begin, ah, the lighting. Oh wow it's amazing, it gives such a dark feeling to the image and the power in the character too! The expression is great, he looks fairly angry and I don't think I'd want to go near him at this point 
Well I should probably stop there ^^ so in summary, one absolutely stunning image, your art is quite something to look forward to!

I think my favorite part of this one is around the ears and horns. It just feels right, the way his skin hardens and folds over his horns, and how his ears gently rest against his horns.
(I don't think what I just said came out right....but I really mean it if you take it seriously xP)

hey i was just wondering if you ever created a digital coloring tutorial or ever used one that is pretty good?
cause i'm trying to work on my coloring so i use more colors and so i can i don't give it more depth i guess?
