You emphasize so much on the noses…no wonder I've always thought your art style's a little weird…

I always try to focus on the nose because it's one of the most defining features of the face. The noses for my characters in these drawings are also a means for regional distinction as part of the physical features associated with the Mexican states. Northern Mexicans (not counting specific indigenous groups) tend to have more Caucasian features, Mexicans from central states usually have more of what we can consider a more 'typical' mestizo appearance, and southern Mexico has a strong indigenous presence. This is, of course, a generalization and should not be taken as a rule.
Yeah, I guess my art is kind of weird. I always plan to get back to my sketches to edit and color them, but I'm still not very confident with my skills in creating art on the computer.
