SO I wanted APHIndia to be a girl SOBADLY.
BECAUSE ENGLAND & LADY!INDIA = "India is the jewel of British Empire".

-CRIES-

AND because India is one of the few Asian countries with a society that practices women's rights COUGHCOUGH Indira Gandhi COUGH.

Also a MALE!India is way too Bollywood hunk macho for Arthur to take down. MALE!India is the type to take 6 minutes to cross a crocodile-infested gorge on a motorbike BECAUSE OF ALL THE SLOW MOTION AND SHIRT OPENING.

In all this ladyIndia wishing I pictured her and Pakistan as rival twin sisters, with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as other sisters. Younger or older I don't know, because my knowledge is so far so-so. I haven't included the other Indian subcontinent countries (EG Nepal) because I simply don't know enough about the cultures to form a character. At the moment, I see the Himalayan countries as different from India, Pakistan etc but this is probably just due to my IGNORANCE.

SO ANYWAY
I guess MALEIndia having all these pretty high-energy girls running around would be AMUSING, and thus he and Russia would have something to sympathise with each other.

I could have altered Pakistan's gender to match with MALE!India, BUT I WANT TO DRESS HER IN SALWAR KAMEEZ FOREVER, and because I don't think that presenting a country ought to revolve around gender. EG just because they're powerful need not make them male. HMPF. I expect that HIMU will make Bangladesh and Sri Lanka female when he gets round to south Asia because they're smaller countries.

I moan, BUT HETALIA IS WONDERFUL.

PS Pakistan is giving that look to Sri Lanka because I started out drawing SL as India. Yup.
