I'm not a romantic person. Obviously. I'm merely a very realistic Cupid.
I love how blurry this pic is, it gives the idea of movement. Now I should teach myself how to do this on command, haha! The face was a bit of a problem (because blurry = less details = less clear expression), but it turned out pretty okay I guess.
Little detail: in the story, that arrow has been dipped in scorpion venom - you know, just in case a shot to the heart wasn't enough. There are multiple versions of the story about Orion from Greek mythology, but one of them involves being stung in the heel and die by a big, nasty scorpion - or at least fleeing away from the beastie. I love the reference to the original story

He gasped. His hands shot to his chest, clawing at his heart - clawing at the arrow that suddenly stuck out of it. He stumbled back, with fingers stained red. He gawked almost curiously at the droplets falling to the floor, as if he had never seen his own blood before.
Drip… drip… drip…
Hunter’s gaze returned to her. His eyes were hidden in shadows, but she could see his lips curling up. Then, slowly as if the world had no stronger pull on him than on a feather, he fell backwards. He hit the floor with a dull thud.

What's up with his chest... ? No wait, it's his hand! Oh, goodness, and I though you had made him look a bit too feminine and woman-like. XD Really for a sec I thought you're going to turn Orion into a pretty girlie and mistook his gender. lol The motion is in place here, absolutely, with the blurryness only strengthening the effect. I didn't know Orion had a counterpart in Greek stories. Interesting. ^^
By the way the last paragraph confuses me a bit: Hunter’s gaze returned to her. His eyes were hidden in shadows, but she could see his lips curling up. -> Before you speak only about males, what's that 'her'/'she' there? Is that the one who shot him? Who's PoV this is, if I may ask?

Thank you so much! and yep, Orion is a Greek guy. Actually, all constellations on the northern hemisphere have Greek stories and origins. The scorpion that stung Orion is up in the sky too! At pretty much the other side of the heavens: Orion hunts in the sky during winter, but he flees the skies in summer because then Scorpius is visible at night.
I didn't drop any names in the paragraph to keep it a little less spoilery, but well, considering there is only one woman who knows how to handle a bow, it's probably not very surprising the archer here is Morgan. This is her POV, the first paragraph was merely an observation made by her (so sorry, no Orion here

I suppose we'll have to thank my screen for that, it might have been a bit dim. XD My phone views things better though, so sad to have a phone with a better screen than the laptop. X'D Oh, wait that guy! I've actually read something about him from my constellation book, just couldn't remember he existed. 
Alright, I thought it might be. But why has Morgan armed her arrow with scorpion venom? I guess I'll find that out later... Aww, too bad, though it had read a bit weird to be his PoV here. :/

I don't think you can even see scorpius: you are quite far north, and scorpius is a southern constellation. I mean, I can't see much of the constellation, it's really low above the horizon (and the sky is less clear there. Too bad. it is a pretty constellation).

I might as well agree on my star club leader's words: 'The northern star sky is ugly.' XD Scorpius is nice, they even have the Phoenix! And many others... well, at least we have Orion, Pegasus, Andromeda... Which reminds me, I have a "piggy bank" with the shape of a globe that's covered with those constellations seen in the northern and southern hemisphere. It looks pretty, of course, but I wonder whether its maker has ever thought the constellations can never be seen that way. So that it truly presented our night skies the globe had to be turned from inside out, now you're kind of watching it from the wrong side, from the outer space... but anyway, it looks rather pretty so I don't care. And motivating to drop money in it. XD

I wouldn't say it is ugly, but the southern one does have more bright stars and interesting objects! Phoenix is a bit of a disappointing constellation though, it only has 1 bright(ish) star, Ankaa... Named a character after that star though XD at least the northern ones have interesting stories to go with them, since they got named by western civilisation much later. (Orion is a cheat though, he sits exactly at the celestial equator)
it would be a bit hard to make a piggy bank out of it if you had to stay on the inside XD but it makes sense to project it the way it had been projected; if you go left from Orion on your globe piggy bank, you will find Canis Minor, eventually. if you go left from Orion while doing some real stargazing, you'll find the same thing

I can definitely feel sympathy for his plight; my husband doesn't quite have Orion's proportions, but he is tall with broad shoulders, a narrow waist and an extra long torso. Shopping for shirts is his nightmare!
