2016 is finishing already, wow! Time is always going so fast haha! I finished out 2015 by posting a horse drawing, and I'm doing it again this yearA moment ago, I was only drawing horses, or nearly. Now I draw more diversified animals, but less horses! Anyway, at least it will be my last painting of the year!
In 2017, I would like to be a bit more productive, and maybe to try drawing some new subjects. But wait, I feel like I have the same resolution every year
Anyway, I wish you all an Happy New Year! I wish you the best to come in 2017, and I hope we'll still have a good time here on DeviantArt!

I can't see the reference you used but I'll try to suggest something you can improve. The coat could be more shiny in those places you've already highlighed. Like you already did on the hoofs. It adds that little extra detail and would make the horse pop out from the background.
The background has beautiful colors and some nice details. It looks like grass in the foreground, then maybe a wheat field? And lastly a hedge? The background becomes a little flat to look at but I think it's because of the large green area behind the horse. You could try with a background that's more open - with more visible sky and a landscape that gradually gets lighter and ligther towards the distance.

Ah, this is lovely! I extremely love the strokes of watercolour, the tonal colour value you've put into her lovely structure. The background is very well perceived and only adds to the horses' presence! I like the shine as well in the white stripe on her face, and her hooves!
I noticed, you're doing this spotted thing with the paint as well- it's a nice touch, and stylisation!
