Description
I love the pose of the fox in this shot, it looks so alert and focussed. Taken at BWC on a great day out with my good buddy FraughtUK.Enjoy!
Red Fox - Vulpes vulpes
Length 100-120cm
Common but justifiably wary of man given history of persecution of this species. Easily recognised by dog-like appearance, orange-red fur and bushy, white-tipped tail. Gives birth and spends much of daytime in underground 'earth'. Widespread in mainland Britain and Ireland. Has colonised urban areas in recent years.

What sort of equipment and settings did you use to capture your fox pictures?
I've been trying to photograph foxes recently but with no success.
Maybe I'm going about it the wrong way...

Hi there, I shot these with the Canon 30D and 100-400 IS lens. This one was shot at 400mm, f5.6 and ISO640 as the light was poor. Hope this helps!

You should! I am about to marry into the last name of Fox and I just think it would be so cool to have a picture of a real fox to display in our house. Haha! It really is a gorgeous shot!

Beautiful, faved. These guys don't have many fans here in Australia, seeing as they're feral and considered a pest here. I personally think these things are at their best in their true habitat, that is, in europe.

Stunning! Was this taken in the wild or at a zoo?? The foxes back home are so timid it's impossible to get a clear picture of them! Beautiful capture

It was taken at the British Wildlife Centre, the wild foxes around my area are very wary of people too!

I'm so jealous of you, since all of our red and gray foxes are so good at hiding due to the lack of foilage. (snow might make a red head like that stand out a bit!)
