Forreal? I absolutely loved the new one. The new one made me want to watch the old one really badly because I love the entire premise, then I just started dating my current boyfriend, whose favourite movie is actually the old The Thing, so we watched it together, but we love both of 'em. And now we're playing Dead Space through because I love Necromorphs bahahahahahah

i've actually not seen the new one. i was just trashing it because the original was so fantastic. i SUPPOSE that it probably has it's own merits, lol.
i think about dead space all the time. played halfway thru, and never picked it up again. i fantasize about finishing it. can't wait to start those engines again. mmm, so satisfying. best 20$ i've ever spent.

Dude, Dead space is the shit. We're trying to finish up this one so we can start on the second one and get the third one as soon as it comes out. Then for Halloween we're planning on me being a Necromorph and him being Issac, I wanna make my costume out of paper mache and make it as realistic as possible
Then the new thing is so good because it melds perfectly with the old one. Like everything that MacReady found in the old camp that was destroyed first melds in perfectly and is explained in the new movie, they really don't cut any corners. And the special effects actually do it justice (not that they didn't in the first movie, cause they were still fantastic.)
