Description
A popular GIF image circled around the internet in the year 1999 and in the early 2000s was never seen again. The GIF in question was nothing but a static image about the size of an error board and some versions even had the static buzzing.
Nobody knows how or why this image existed, a group of college students decided to see for themselves.
The students locked themselves in a room with nothing but a computer and stared at the looping video for 5 minutes.
Ten minutes later the students started seeing things, some saw flashing images of grotesque faces and some saw the phrase "Be on guard" flashing three times before going away and never coming back.
All students started having concentration problems, all though most were given to paranoia and the students continued their school work.
In the year 2000 a news report was issued that five college students were reported missing and that the last thing that was viewed on their college computer was a looping image of a static error message box.
