Wow, unbelievable...I can't even figure how to do that beautiful portrait with acrylics and colored pencil...I love that it really looks like Princess Leia..Just like Carrie Fisher, on the button...I hope I can get as good as you in art school someday!!

Makes me remember why I fell in love in the first place. Her stern angry look, intense eyes and slightly pursed lips did a magical number on me that all the women in my life seem vaguely amused by -- I don't know why.

I was wondering when you might catch this. I thought it would make a good counterpart with the Bespin piece you did earlier this year. Plus, well, Bespin Leia is my favorite look on Carrie!

Stop, your piece is just as wonderful. Star Wars on the horzion? Well unless I get a commission or my direction suddenly changes, I probably won't be doing anymore SW stuff for a while. I'd like to finish out the "Heroes" series with Han and Lando. Maybe next year.

Yeah, I was hoping for an "icy" beauty with this one. It could only take a scruffy nerfherder like Han to melt it away...Glad you like it. If you haven't seen the Luke painting be sure to check it out in my gallery. Should be rounding out this portrait series with Han (maybe Lando) as time allows. Had to get my Leia "fix" in this year somehow...

"Icy beauty" indeed...but those ruby-red lips hint at the thaw underway, courtesy of that "scruffy-looking nerfherder!" lol! I always loved that exchange: the only epithet Han objected to in Leia's entire tirade was "scruffy-looking!"
