This piece is very good and the technique you used is amazing, but I do in fact have a few critics.
One of the first things I noticed is that there is, in fact, nothing that makes this piece "stand out". You can do this many ways by adding a secondary light source, a contrast in two colours, or a focus on a specific part of the drawing, but I didn't see any of these things.
Next off, the trees look less like trees and more like mushrooms. It would have been better if you had added more details to the leaves and separate them more throughout the tree.
Also, the lack of a background makes it look rather bland. Even a few details for the background would have been nice, but even without it the drawing is still great.
That's all I really have to say, but do remember that you did a great job! ^w^

i love this concept! I feel it could use a little more, such as a background with depth. the lighting, and shading is great, and i love the 'chunky' vibe of the work all together. the pallet works really well together, and the brush work is quite rash. some areas of this seem a bit sloppy, but i am sure it is with purpose.there could be a bit more detail, but honestly it is greatly put together. the colors really mix well, and really give me a feeling of moonlight against the wood. excellent piece, great originality, amazing impact! nice

Honestly, this piece is absolutely amazing~
I adore the soft cool colors, the way the tree bends and twists, and I especially like how the shading is done on the trunk. This is something to be very proud of! if I had to be nit-picky, I'd say the only two thing I could see being worked on would be the branches that attach the leaves to the tree (they are just a little to small at the ends, and the right half of the tree's branches don't necessarily look completely finished), and adding a little more detail or something to the ground. Like, if you colored the ground just a bit more to cover more area (and I mean a small amount more), the piece I feel would look more full.
Like I said, those are nit-picky criticisms. It was honestly hard writing a critique for this, because this looks beautiful!

I love the colors of the tree and the leaves. The contrast between each one of the leaves is sutle yet makes the leaves stand out more. The lighting is also very nice. I love the detailing and the shadows of the tree bark. I like that there are leaves falling from the tree. I think it gives the area around the tree a bit of movement instead of it being just still. I think the simple ground goes good against the tree's colors. I wouldnt change anything about it. I absolutely adore this piece. Concept or not, everything just fits together very well. The colors work very well and the 'cold' shades of blue and brown and purple just add to the softness of the drawing. The details are good as well, but the way the branches/trunk of the tree are just cut off into the leaves is a tad bit off putting. Perhaps adding a leave or two would help the transition of it vanishing into the leaves(though, again I do understand that this is a concept drawing and not all the details will be spot on)? None the less this is a gorgeous piece that really pops on the eyes! Good job!
