Of course,the tree itself looks good but not spooky enough.
The chain with a lock on the tree makes you think that the tree inside is a portal whick teleports you to another world.
The picture needs to be darker.Just a little darker.
You could think of adding a people under the tree whom is touching the tree and the tree glowed.(on his/her's hand.)
It's rare that to see anyone would draw a tree.
So I don't actually appreciate anyone else to draw it.
But I'm not telling you to stop drawing it.
just go with your feeling.
You still have much more place to improve.
There's no such right or wrong on drawing.
It's just your favourite activity.

I love the feel of this, it gives an over all ominous tone with the dark colours, chains, and lock over the crack in the tree. It looks like something might be trying to come out and might have its wish sometime soon with the crack reaching from one end to another.
I really enjoy your simple tones and strokes in the art style but would also love to see what details might emerge if you continued to develop them more and add some textures.
Overall I really love this piece and think would love to see more of the story I feel it has.

It is a very futuristic looking tree but still retains the ancient feeling. I really like the use of colour here, the cool shades of blue/purple and the slight touch of red really bring it to life. I think my only critique would be the top of the tree does not immediately look like any treetop. Perhaps a mix between dead tree and living tree? However I think the tree is part of your interpretation of "ancient tree" so it is good! I am not sure what the contest is for so I just went by the term "ancient tree". I hope this helps some. Amazing, love the neon colors sprouting from the old-but-magical look of the tree. Gives it a cyberpunk yet fantasy vibe. Very nice! ^^
