Description
This is a rather personal piece stemming from my recent experiences. To me, it is all about finding yourself again in the chaos around you and focusing on the important things instead of being distracted by the outside as well as your own mind playing tricks on you. The more it sparks outside the calmer you should ideally get... but it's not so easy, so this picture serves as a reminder to myself. This was something I started weeks ago but put aside cos I got stuck. Two days ago I pulled it back out and it all fell into place.
Details can be found here: [link]
Stock from ~Spiteful-Pie-Stock , `pendlestock and my own.
EDIT: stumbled over a great way to crop this while uploading prints, so I recropped the deviation

The feeling of drowning into silence, in spite of outer distractions and the gradual increasing feeling of peace, all are perfectly convyed.Truly beautiful.
Thanks.

That is a drop dead gorgeous idea, getting a shot of someone laying in water like that and manipulating it into a sphere of water. It's one of the best things you could have done to represent meditation. You should be very proud

what a beautiful piece!! and i think that you should print it and frame it, and have it next to your desk when you are studying for your next exam

the area around my desk is already filled with prints, photos and postcards
and I dunno if my boyfriend would be happy if I started spreading "my stuff" across the whole appartment
but I'd certainly love to get this one printed out BIG - I might do it anyway just see how it turns out

Aber nur schauen wenn Du ausgeruht bist! Ist halt ein sehr ruhiger Film.
Und schau unbedingt das Remake mit Mr. Clooney, hat mir deutlich besser gefallen als die russische Verfilmung von 1972...

oh dear ... this reminds me of SOLARIS Especially the colours.
(Unfortunately: not the book, not the old Russian movie, but the recent movie including George Clooney )
Still nice, though

I have been thinking about the same thing lately that the inner motions are the only things we really have some control over when the world outside goes crazy.
I really love the combination of colors, like in other pieces of yours they can express serenity and energy in the same time.

To shut ones self off from everything around you is not an easy thing to do,an old saying comes into mind though that my mun used to say..you need to be like a horse with blinkers..
Beautiful interpretation of your feelings,to find the medium between the happy and relaxed solitude of ones owns thought and the outside world..

your stock just wanted to be used ever since I saw those pics, but as you said, Ophelia has become too much of a clichΓ© so I had to find something else
