Copyright Β© Kmye Chan, 2011. All rights reserved. My take on the ever-so popular tale from the Grimm Brothers. This picture (or at least, the general idea of it) had been in my mind for years, but I lacked the technical skill to actually draw it until recently. I'm really happy I finally got to do it !
Also, if you are interested, I've recorded the coloring of this picture : you can watch the time-lapse video here !

Thank you! I used a mixture of Copics and Promarkers, as well as some watercolours and acrylics. I actually have a time-lapse video of the making of this one if you are interested: vimeo.com/70060521

I can't believe that it is traditional *O* Fabulous! The idea is great! Also your draw styke is fascinating! How did you make her dress so soft and light?

Thank you!
For the dress I used light washes of white acrylic paint. I have a time-lapse video of this illustration on my Vimeo account here if you are interested in watching how I did the dress: vimeo.com/70060521

In hindsight... knitting needles for a braid? And there are stairs *right there*.
...Maybe she's fishing for princes?

I love this! We can see how her hair is impossibly long, and then we see her trying to braid it but there's still a lot to go, and she's so fragile compared to how strong it looks... and the colors give the perfect mood for the painting

Incredible! The perspective and compositions is amazing, and the picture has an overall beautiful sense of light, shadow, and depth. I also really love the darker atmosphere you used, thus making it feel more like the real fairy tale. ^v^ Gorgeous job, this picture is nothing short of breathtaking! You are an artist of incredible skill!
