Hmm, What to say here... First off, I do love this, the overall picture. It honestly brought a tear to my eye to see how well you did on this, and how powerful it turned out to be. As for the individual ratings...
Vision: I gave this 5 stars, because it really shows how you can stare into someone's eyes and see into their soul and emotions. It also shows that someone can see so much, and even if they aren't really showing it on the outside, in how they act, you can almost always see a person's suffering through their eyes. It shows how much one can see, and I find that to be amazing.
Originality: I gave this 3 stars, because I have seen this many times. Many weren't done as well as this, but even so, it isn't exactly a new idea.
Technique: I loved the technique you put into this. The way you used color in only the iris is very appealing, and it helps with the impact and vision of the piece as well. The eye itself is very realistic, so realistic that I can hardly believe you did this with only your hands. The eyelashes are very well done as well.
Impact: I gave this a 4.5. It shows that the universe isn't really bound by anything, and how much one can see. However, I think *this is just me being me here, I'm probably spewing nonsense, so sorry if I upset you* that it may have had more of an impact if the eye had a tear on the edge? That hasn't been used much before, and it would have showed just how cruel the universe can be, whilst also showing how wonderful it is in the iris.
Thank you so much for your wonderful piece of art, and I hope to see more in the future! It is definitely one of my favorites!

This is just... magical. Some believe that looking through one's eye, you can see their soul, which is what really grabs my attention in this masterpeice. I feel like I could stare at this all day, like it's a bottomless, black pit, drawing me in. It also pries the question out of you- what does this person see?
Great job on the artwork. The colors blend beautifully, and those details are magnificent, and must have taken days. I often forget what amazing feats one can do with a few pens and pencils, but you really remind us during those moments of doubt. I honestly don't know anyone that could have done better, however I took off a few points for originality, as I have drawn similar pictures myself. I did find pleasing, that the eyelashes were not perfectly organized and unreal, as someone else might do. Again, just gorgeous and nothing I write could ever succeed in discribing this... this... I'm running out of words, so here concludes my first critique.

I actually belive that this brought a tear to my eye, no pun intended, but what made this stand out from other's AND TRUST me, ive seen plenty of attemps to make something like this (BTW this is my first critique) but in ALL the attemps I've seen, yours had the best use of water color reflection, you didn't JUST make the eye, but you made the reflection too. The only reason you got a 4 in origionality is because Ive seen this before, MULTIPLE TIMES, but still everything besides that was STUNNING, REALLY REALLY GOOD BRO... seriously, I wish I had points to give you.

Weiter so!

I will try now to criticism. Originality is ... Eyes of the good of the entire image but rather Mediocre. I've seen it often enough where you have to say here that there is any idea several times, it is only in this version ... particularly. Beautiful color combination and the little white dots on the edge are also particularly. The eye looks real, shades look real. Except for the white squares in the eye ... The somewhat unreal in my opinion act. (I am referring especially to the four lower-right corner.) The technology is good, and the work thus acts really, I think. The effect was achieved in my opinion, the eye looks interesting, lifelike, exceptionally. A wonderful work. However, I find the pictures of you in the category of Digital Art .. better / there you are definitely better. Probably. just a personal taste but I hope you. continue to pencil and co will fall back. Keep it up!

This picture immediately caught my eye (no pun intended) while I was scrolling through the popular deviations of the past few days. It stands out from the crowd by contrasting colorless with colorful, light with dark and plain with complex. Its fine precision and detail make the image appear incredibly life-like, while in reality it is far from it.
First I want to comment on the materials used in this artwork. I am very impressed by the excellent use of markers in the piece. You have done an an amazing job of blending the colors in the center, and an even better job of making the shine in the eye appear watery and delicate. I also admire the use of watercolor in the work, as it makes the areas around the eye lids look "washed out".
Second, I want to mention the precision of the work. The lines are very sharp, and you have put a tremendous amount of detail into making edges look crisp and clean. Detail goes as far as ensuring that there is a reflection of the eye lashes in the shine of the eye. Amazing! Careful details like this make the piece look all the very realistic, which I admire since an eye with a rainbow center is obviously very uncommon!
The symbolism of the work is also to be commended. Judging by the quote you have about falling in love in your description, I can see that they range of colors in the center of the eye shows how the many things experienced by people translate to such an extensive range of emotions. The eye is such an expressive organ in the body, which is why I love it as your choice of making it the subject.
This is an incredible piece of work. I love both your traditional art and your digital art. Well done!

Vision: Very eye appealing, amazing color combinations, I like how the iris looks like a colorful galaxy and the rest is black and white.
Originality: Love the concept of seeing the universe in one's eye, it's very unique and definitely brings the idea of the eyes being the window to the soul a reality.
Technique: This is a very good water-coloring. I didn't realize it was water-colors until I read the description. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

The vibrant colors that are shown in the eye are outstanding, a surreal touch to this piece of art. The realism of it is outstanding, along with the glare that is drawn in the eye. The neatness of this piece is incredible. The only thing, which is minor, and I know that it probably shouldn't bug me, is the utensils in the top right. They look odd on the actual print. However, I know it may look great to others. Overall, it is a wondrous work, Which I may consider purchasing myself. The deviant responsible should be proud; this belongs in a museum.
I find myself in a ironic situation while grading this; I can't give it less than five stars on vision: It's an eye!

First of all, it is beautiful. The gray, black, and white makes it pop with the beautiful colors of eyes as one gazes into the universe seeing the creator's markers. Well done with colors. However, I have done a somewhat similar of an eye piece before as have many, unfortunately. I do feel the skin piece (tear duct area; not sure what it's called) feels a little flat as does around the eye. There should be a little more fine lines above and perhaps under the eye, for example. The lower lashes are a bit odd/misplaced, but that's forgivable. It's to the artist's left/ eye's right that bothers me. Maybe do something about revealing the skin fold a little more on the upper, but not too much. Other than that, I like it!

I never knew it was physically possible to do an eye on paper that looked so realistic! It's absolutely beautiful!
Let me start by the shading, you haven't used too much, it looks so realistic! The shading isn't too dark or too light, it's just right.
The eyelashes and how you've drawn this is brilliant. The detail is fantastic.. words cant describe!
The coours you have used are really nice. The outside of the pupil having rainbow colours, representing happiness, going on forever. The stars outside that represent eternity.
I also like how it looks like she's looking out the window or something. The colours look almost computerized but they couldn't be aha! You can tell it took a long time to make and it does look 3D!
One downfall would be one of the reflections on the eye, you can see a sort of line, I only just noticed it, but it's barely noticeable! So for that, A BIG 10/10!

This piece immediately caught my eye when i opened the page. It is really bright with lots of contrast and beautiful detail. I love how the iris is the only colorful part, and how it has so much emotion and bursts of beauty inside. the shading is well done also. I love how it is reflecting the stars with a rainbow burst in the middle, showing the beauty of space. The pens on the side were helpful, now i know what materials are required to make a similar piece of art. the reflection in the eye is well, eye catching.

Hehe, time for another critique then ^^
Just what I need tonight to be honest.
So I'll start right away with the main picture:
I am not a fan of those 'eye drawings' because many people make them look too unrealistically, but I need to say you did well on it. It's an eye catching picture and a nice contrast between greyscale and the colors inside, it looks realistically and still has a hint of magic. Really well done.
Colors:
As already mentioned, the greyscale eye makes the pupil's colors seem much stronger, and it also put's the focus on it. And even though the colors are really mixed they still the have a good transition thanks to the white when they change near the middle, and thanks to the blue lines. I will now write aboust a few special colors in there, but if you can't see which one I exactly mean, doesn't matter. So... at one part I can see a stripe starting with a blue, and then growing into a soft yellow which continues with red and purpe. and at another part it starts with blue again, becames yellow then, and turns into green. I mention those, because I really like the way you kept cooler colors near the outside, and warmer ones inside of the 'colorstripe of the eye'. That's what makes the whole bunch of colors seem even possible. And ofcourse it's nice for real eyes to look at. There are barely things worse then color transitions that would never work because those can be really confusing. Also great that you simply used a lot of colors, and still it doesn't look too mixed but like a simple switch between red and yellow, both connected to the blue around it ofcourse. So... yes, really well done on the colors.
Shading:
The whole eye looks really realistically, so no need to say you did well at the shading I guess, but I'm going to praise a bit the parts I like the most. Like the part where the tears come from. Most people have a lot of trouble making this part of the eye look good. I also really like the shading of the eyeball, a really well done transition. The eyelashes look like not too many and still like a lot. I also really like the the shading coming from the eyelashes which you drew on the pupil's highlight. There I need to say, for a realistic look those highlights are a bit strong because they are really rectangle like, but it doesn't really bother, it simply gives the eye some magic and a bit an anime like style which is really eye catching, because... after all, when it comes to animes and mangas the eyes are often one of the most important thing. The way you shaded the eyelid is great too, giving some feeling for the depth of the picture. So really nothing negative about the shading to say. If you love traditional art more and more, keep it up, you are great at it ^^
Now about the lineart:
Not like at your digital drawings I can see a lineart here, but it doesn't bother. With the rest of the face drawn some lines would have to be much brighter, but since it's only the eye and not a whole scenery a lineart is all okay, even around the highlights... it's allright, also because the darker lines make the bright greyscale having some more contrast.
the pose:
Okay, you sure will wonder what i could say about the pose, but yes, there are a few things to say:
The direction into which this person looks. To be honest, most of the times the eye is looking straight into the 'camera', and that's what I am a bit tired of. Another perspective would have given it more originallity. But I need to say I really like that you put those two pens on the picture. It gives a good feeling of the size of the picture and... I can't tell why, but I REALLY like that those two pens are there. Maybe because it makes it seem a bit more as something real. But I can't really describe that, sorry.
All together this is a really realistically looking picture. But it still contains enough 'magic' so the watcher really keeps looking at it. Sure a lot of people spent atleast 2 minutes and more looking at this picture. The title matches the picture really well. And all those little stars sure were a lot of work, but it was worth it. But when it comes to the originallity... I'd suggest you to try an other perpective if you draw eyes again. Or atleast let the person look into another direction, then maybe draw both eyes. Sure it would be a lot more work, but you are good at what you do, so the outcome would be even greater and really worth it. And also two eyes are much harder to draw because they must have the same size and you'd have to make sure the person doesn't start to be cross-eyed or anything like that. But I think you have the ability to do something like this succesful... You should give it a try ;D
Except that... when it comes to the impact. I spent now again almost an hour looking at it, and I still feel amazed, so no doubt about rating it with 5 stars. You really managed to draw something that's comfortable and interesting to look at even after a long time.
The Vision... well, I am sure you drew exactly what you wanted to. The title is what you can see on the picture, and the picture shows what you read as the title.
And about the Technique... It's really well done. And I guess you are expirienced enough as an artist to handle some different techniques of drawing. You have a great skill at digital but also at traditional drawings, and it doesn't take a lot to see you know what your are doing. 5 stars there aswell.
Okay, I guess that's enough, with more than 1100 words until now the longest critique, hopefully it doesn't take you too long to read all of that xD
Goldy~

Let me just say that this is truly a wonderful piece of art. It's also a HUGE inspiration to me, as I myself love to dive into eyes and trying to create them traditionally.
I absolutely love the reflection shone in the iris and pupil. Absolutely stunning. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="40" height="25" alt="

The lashes are also well done. They appear to be without makeup, leaving them to stand naturally and with a slight wave. I like how you kind of changed up the direction that they're going in on the bottom row. Most curved right, but a few went left.
Overall, a job well done! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h⦠" width="38" height="15" alt="

This is a beautiful piece!
Vision : I love the idea of the stars and galaxy in the eye. The colors are vibrant and wonderful, and very well executed. I love the idea for this piece overall.
Originality : I gave 2.5 stars for originality because eyes are drawn extremely frequently, but this is not completely unoriginal due to the incorporation of the stars and unique colors. Still, drawings like this are common, but obviously effective in their popularity.
Technique : Overall I think the technique is very good, but I see small room for improvement. However, it could just be stylization, because I notice in your digital works that there are not the same problems. To me, it seems that the lashes are off. They're too uniform and not really curved in a natural direction, whereas real lashes are more haywire and sparse in places. It also feels like something is missing in the shading around the eye. Perhaps it should be stronger, but I can't put my finger on it.
Impact : 3.5 stars for impact because, although the image is striking, it is simply an eye and not as memorable as some of your other works e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Overall I'd say this is a wonderful masterpiece and very realistic I doubt this will offend you;
I like the signature In the picture but the pens ruin it a bit. I mean it was a crafty idea but it makes it look a tiny bit bad.
Near the edge of the eye those little white marks ruin it a bit
And you went a bit too bold on the end of the eyelid line
There are way more good thing than bad things in the picture and overall

Do You See What Eye See? A Stunning display of vision (no pun intended) I love the the reflective look in the cornea well placed to give that reflective look! Just as the colorful look to the iris as well as the star effect giving it that almost infinite look wow!!
You also captured the depth and shape of the eye Beautifully giving it that natural look and not cartoon flatness. The eyelashes beautiful curvature and spacing right down to the corner of the eye the caruncle all well done! I also like you left your markers in for perspective it gives you scale and a feeling of added style awesome work!!

I think the idea is not as original as some of your others but q very nice piece. The amount of detail in this is amazing and overflowing. I almost think the eye is real. The stars are very nice and also detailed. he colors are vibrant and also calming with their composure and arrangement. This does not have the same impact. Of the other pieces but is also very nice. I wonder if they could do a series of eyes, ones with super novas, black holes, and nebula's. The technique was done very well and impacts the impact and vision. Perhaps if it was some galactic goddess or something, that would be interesting.
