For CHOW #280 on ConceptArt.orgThe topic was a Siren - In Greek mythology, the Sirenswere dangerous creatures, portrayed as seductresses who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. More here: [link]
Kind of a redesign - mostly, I wanted to paint sheer black fabric.

This picture doesn't have perfectly sharp contrast or focus. Which is good because it gives this picture a slight dream like quality to it.
To the floor, there's two helmets and debris from a shipwreck; death and destruction that she has likely caused. The background looks like it's either smoke or a rock wall. With the way that the water is splashing at the bottom of the picture, it's like I'm at the bottom a rocky shore, and me and her are standing at the bottom of a cliff. In the caption, you said that you derived this idea from Greek mythology. But given how she is dressed, I could also see this taking place some where in the Middle East.
I love how you dressed her up in black. It does help to give her the effect of being evil and ominous. I like her facial expression; it doesn't look nice but it's like she's saying to me "Well? Aren't you going to come with me?" I also like how you drew just enough scales on her leg to convey that she's not human. And you revealed just enough of her breast to make the point that she is a seductress.
This picture is very tastefully made and well done.

I love the fact that it isn't blocky or that nothing is overpowering something else in the picture. Your dark colors flow very well and don't take away from the detail. You also don't squish anything to make all of it fit on the paper, you just let it flow off. Very well done, all in all.
