Description
This is one of very few pedestrian bridges in Johnson County from the first generation. The new ones are not nearly as interesting as these old bolted I-Beam truss bridges. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing these were built in the late 50's when Shawnee Mission Park was first opened. I have more pictures of this bridge, but I'll only post more based on how my lovely audience judges this one.Related content

Thanks for putting "Rusty Truss" in your features. I hadn't even thought of that picture in quite a while. Thanks for digging up one of my oldie-but-goodies.

Thank you sir. I enjoy making a narrow depth of field to increase a picture's dramatic effect. Once in a while, it works. I appreciate your comment.

The old Hannibal bridge in downtown KC has a swing span too. Only foamers who give railfans a bad name would ever venture out upon that bridge! (^_^)

Yeah, I was using 100 speed film in the evening, so the depth of field by default had to be pretty narrow. I appreciate your support.

Beautifully done. The focus is at a point that is interesting, and it looks great in black and white.

Thanks. My wife really took to this picture, which is why it's the first of the bridge to go up.

I think you should post the rest of them. This is a great photo I'd like to see more of them.

I'll post at least one more tomorrow. I don't want to dwell on one subject too long...unless that subject is railroading in general...(^_^)
