Description
The old Hannibal Bridge could use a paint job... The intricate shadows cast upon the bridge and the locomotives come from the Broadway bridge that stands about 100 feet upstream of the rail bridge. Before the Broadway bridge was built, motorists crossed the river on the upper deck of the Hannibal. The remains of that road deck are visible here in the form of the box girder bridge above the locomotives.
