Description
My first photo manipulation submittedPhoto was taken in Canberra, Australia last year.
Its a picture of the war memorial in Canberra, I manipulated a few people out of the pic, made the hallway seem like it goes on forever and added the sun glow, shadows and contrast.
I think it turned out really nice.

f*cking fantastic mate
i just came across this now, on november 11, immediately after standing in my loungeroom for the minute's silence for Remembrance Day.
I take our national heritage, and war heroes, very close to heart (plus, I'm in the Navy meself) and just love this photo, it sort of says it all, doesn't it? I remember spending many days in Canberra walking along the memorial, and remembering everything I have to thank these young men for, for my freedom and our peace. Most of the men were younger than me!! I'm only 22! I would have been one of the elder diggers, and that is so tragic...
There are a lot of great stories to be told, if you liked it at the memorial, I'd suggest reading some of the diaries of C.E.W. Bean, the only official press correspondent for World War I. It was actually Bean who submitted the idea for the memorial in the first place, and his diaries of life in the Gallipoli trenches are awesome.
THanks for a great shot mate, it's gone straight to my favourites list.

Yes I noticed that when you faved my Anzac pic The way you describe your feelings for this country as a patriot really makes me happy that someone like you found my work. Im very glad there is such a thing as a young Australian patriot in this day in age.
Im very glad you like it

You think so? Hmm maybe, but when I make that judgement, I usually put time and effort as a foremost determining factor. Photography in my books does not really take much effort or time *ducks*. I mean sure it takes time to set up the shot, but really this particular shot was a quick 'lean, shot, gottit' shot if you get my meaning.
Im rambling, thanks for your comment

I opened it up in a dark room and somehow the film got sliced in half, so the last 2 wont come out, but thats ok, I dont think they were any good anyway.

Cool perspective. I like the infinity feeling it has. Great colors as well, the red contrasts perfectly with the blues, while the blue on the floor and beige-ish on the cieling balance well.
