Description 'The sun was setting.
Darkness began to shroud the landscape, like a creeping void poised to devour everything in it's path.
The last rays of sunlight bouncing off her soft skin, flushing her cheeks to a rosy pink.
She raised her hand to her mouth, gently touching her lips with her delicate fingertips.
They were cold, as icy as the water trickling in the stream below.

A chill came over her body and she shuddered for a moment.
She knew this sunset would be her last.
He was gone forever, and no one was going to save her....'

Thanks! That really means a lot. I was going to add a few more pieces, but I had to put them in a different folder because the Sharpie one wasn't available in the drop down menu.Β

Oh yes, I saw the folder in the group. It just wouldn't allow me to contribute to it when I hit 'contribute art' on the main page. It wasn't a folder option. May be an issue with a setting or something minor like that. It happens in my group as well sometimes. DA can be screwy, lol.

Awesome, thanks! Not all of my art has a concept, but a good portion does. All of my stuff is drawn randomly, so the finished product is just as much a mystery to me as it is to anyone else, lol. I only use plain copy paper, nothing fancy. Sharpie twinz!

Just a lot of time and patience is all. That, and using ultra-fines instead of fine tip ones helps a lot to get that smooth finish instead of the sketchy overlaps.

I have patience sometimes. And yeah, I have a boat load of fine tip sharpies, so might as well use them! Maybe I'll invest on ultra-fine next time.

I've been doing the 'puzzle piece' background technique for a long time. A typical piece for me takes 10 to 12 hrs, but some have taken me 15+ depending on how intricate the shading is. This one took only 8hrs or so.
