Description
Hello hello in 2019!I finished this yesterday, so this is, in fact, both my last work of 2018 and first one of 2019. One more of the experimental ones - the background of this one is modeled and rendered in Blender. It does have some mistakes that I'll be focusing on correcting next time, so you can probably expect some more works with 3D elements this year. I plan to work on my 3D skills and learn a bit about matte painting, plus make myself focus on not leaving the details unpolished!
Here's to a great 2019!

wow, this is really fantastic. Is it supposed to represent someone in particular? or a general depiction of tyranny commingling with the church?

It was more of a training exercise in 3D, but I like your interpretation. Thank you!

Very nice, I just saw the movie "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (1992) and it reminds me a lot of it!

I didn't notice the background was 3D either, nice work there! Hopefully it feels more natural as you do it more!

Awesome! Charming image for sure, he looks like a real b*stard xD And you're getting into Blender.
Let me know how it goes, maybe you can advise if I should get into it or not.

Thank you! Blender has a pretty steep learning curve, but I think all 3D software does, we'll see how it goes.

I used to know some, before v3 when they changed the whole interface.
Either way always happy to see other people starting, makes me want to get into it too.
Looking forward to see more 3d from you!

Wow great background. I started to look at blender too, watched some tutorials, and now try to find the courage to start with it ha ha.

Thank you! Blender is pretty difficult, but then I find all the 3D software difficult

cool! I feel like it needs the Iron Throne to do the scenery some justice. I didn't realize the background was 3D, well done! I started out with blender last year, but it is such a big chunk of work to learn the software properly and thoroughly, I believe I have to start all over again now. I'm curious whether you'll see it through.

Thanks! Hahah yeah, getting the right throne was actually quite difficult. Blender is tough, and it took me a while to get motivated enough to actually try and do something with it, but now that I've started I'm going to keep trying (hopefully!). Fingers crossed for your progress as well then

At least I use Daz3D more often now rather than searching for hours for the right pose, but that software is really easy to use. I wonder how I managed to learn PS in the first place I probably wouldn't have the motivation for it today. I found blenderguru's tutorials really amazing. The problem was I stopped using blender right after completing the tutorial series.
