Jolie paces her dusty corral bored, sweaty, and dehydrated. The air is dry and Jolie glances over to the rancid water bucket the ranchers left. Flies buzz around it, weirdly sparking a bit of rage in Jolie’s blood. Piece of shit ranchers…raise me here and don’t even have the decency to give me fresh water… She glances at the bag of dry, stale hay, or feed me a decent meal… Her senses feel overwhelmed with irritation, desperation and a deep sadness. The sun is too hot, the muzzle too tight, her skin too itchy…everything just too much.

The sound of humans loudly cackling perks Jolie’s attention. Over the years she’s been able to recognize the voices, language and personalities of each rancher at The Jackrabbit. They come around the corner, laughing and joking, playfully shoving each other. Oh hell…they’re in a good mood. Jolie knows where this is going. One of the men she knows. He’s tall, darker skin with random spots all over and brighter hair. He has piercing blue eyes and a mischievous grin, something uncaring and vicious underneath. He seems to be the leader.

The man looks up from the playful shenanigans of his peers and catches Jolie’s eyes. The two share a tense stare, challenging each other. Come on asshole, let’s see what you’ve got. He narrows his eyes at her, shoving his peers shoulders to grab their attention. He casually chews on a long blade of hay, tipping his hat to Jolie almost as a quiet acceptance to her rage.

Next thing Jolie knows is that she’s being forcefully dragged to another corral. Six of those damned wranglers have her surrounded, hurriedly strapping a saddle to her. She whinnies as they cinch it too tightly. She rears her head as they finally release her from the muzzle. Finally! She shakes and tosses, rearing desperately to get away. In the blur of chaos she spots a man’s hand reaching for her face and immediately snaps her jaws at him with a deep growl. Im so sick of you bastards! A few men yank hard on a rope around her neck, goddamnit! Her head is forced down and the men quickly reapply a new muzzle with reins attached. Jolie quietly gathers her rage and pain within her.

She’s pushed quickly into a tight pen, tall fencing scraping against her sides. Anxiety and fear threaten to swallow her but she tries to shake it off quickly, come on you know the drill…time to be Jawbreaker. She steadies her breathing and feels the familiar weight of the blue eyed monster on her back. Alright asshole…

The gate opens and Jolie springs upwards, throwing her body high into the air. Abrupt yelling erupts all around her. Dust and dirt fly, her vision blurry. Her muscles feel numb with the amount of impact when landing. The man above her wildly moving around her, still holding on tightly with gritted teeth. Jolie peeks above her and catches the tense, angry face of the blue eyed man. I’ll ruin you, I’ll ruin you all.
