Description
Epsilon from Naoki Urasawa's Pluto.I just read the manga this week. I really enjoyed it, and I felt inspired to draw sketches as soon as I had time (today). Just some random, rough pencil doodles with quick color added!
Ha ha, I guess it's pretty obvious who my favorite character is. The little two-panel thing in the middle was something I wanted to sketch out because I loved Epsilon's pacifism in the story.

*late comment* but Yay for Epsilon! He was my favorite robot in the original Astro Boy episode too, and when I read Pluto and I read "Photon Energy!" I got really excited. I love his design!

Although I already told you this on LJ, have to say here that I really like these pictures.
It gives a good feel to the character, you can tell a lot about him from the pictures and quotes even before reading the series. And the soft colouring on the background and his hair for the bottom two look so nice.

Oh, he's quite adorable. This Pluto series, is it particularly short? *is interested*

I'm glad you think so, too!
I read the series in a couple of days online--the published manga is 8 volumes, so it's not a particularly long one.

This is going to sound really stupid and immature but Epsilon's hair is so pretty.

Haha, no, that sounds neither stupid nor immature! Actually, his lovely, flowy hair is something I found appealing about his character design. It's fun to draw.
And thank you.

Thank you! Oh, Epsilon. Haha, I'm not sure what to do about lighting/shadows with a character who can emit light, but I tried my best. I'm really glad you like the sketches.
