Description

So I've been wanting to do something fun and upbeat, and Jubilee is probably one of the most upbeat X-Men you'll read in the comics, and I also highly dig her 80s vibes and looks. So what better way than to paint her in a mall showing off her powers with her fellow x-men? I also knew I wanted something detailed but not too busy and so I dimmed down my painted background to focus primarily on Jubilee. I had a lot of fun doing the little fireworks and passive energy blasts passing by the viewer to give that 'framed' look to the piece. I'm also a huge sucker for 80s stuff and Retrowave so it made doing this piece even more fun. marciofernandes is always talented and inspirational to work with. I'm honestly kind of on a binge with his work, if you all haven't been able to tell. I always try to build onto something wonderful to help produce something new and hopefully, something that adds to the current piece to make it even more alive!
