Ah yes, another X-Men piece. I've been lacking some Marvel pieces and its been fun doing X-Men pieces, I really need to do more! Anyways, I had a blast painting and coloring this piece, it was challenging but it was also very fun! Always gotta love see Kitty with some Lockheed, hell, even the sword Magik gave her! I absolutely love working with marciofernandes pencils, and this is the second one I've worked from and I highly recommend checking out his work too. I really wanted to give this darker tone scene at first but then it occurred to me, it would also be super neat to do a more "hopeful" scene, and that's why I chose fire from the bottom and then the sun coming out from the dust and ashes, almost to signify the victory and finality of the battle Kitty just went through. I was going to portray her ability through walls, but it ended up not fitting the thematic idea of the piece. Anyways, feedback and comments are always welcome!

I dedicate this piece to my awesome and best friend, and fellow Kitty Pryde lover, Slayer-Sango !
