Photo News - Canon's rumored 75+ megapixel DSLR
The megapixel war appears to be alive and well. The rumor mill has been churning the past weekend after a report emerged that Canon is in the process of field testing a DSLR camera that packs a whopping 75+ megapixels.
Eric Reagan over at Photography Bay writes that he received the tip this past Saturday from a trusted source:
[...] a pre-production high resolution Canon DS Best of July 2013Here are some of the best pictures I found in July, 2013. They do not appear in my Square-features, that's why I do a monthly feature for all those great artists on deviantART who submitted no-square pictures.
Enjoy!

Dear DeviantART,
Why the HELL did I have to scroll so far down the page just to figure out whether or not this was a photograph!? What was wrong with the old format?
Dear Einsilbig,
Awesome photo. Congrats on the DD.

I wonder what are you running? It doesn't appear to be that way from my end.

According to the newest Site Update here, deviantART has randomly chosen about half of the deviants on dA to receive a newer version of the deviation pages. They have a new, different layout, which is what =xXCALIBUR and ~thesimmsonian are talking about. They must have it, and you and I don't.

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones, so I can't complain.

Yeah. I really hope dA listens to what people have to say about the new layout, though, because it sounds like it's not very good now and I wouldn't want to end up with it later.

No problem. Great framing as well, actually.
As far as how uniform this is, I've been trying to get photos like this (not that the buildings on my island are that interesting), but there is always the issue of perspective. I'm sure pictures like these are best achieved from a distance with zoom, yes? To prevent the lines from curving?

I never use zoom-lenses
You can correct some distortions with a program
(I use RawTherapee). All in all I love to capture with
prime lenses, because they other better image quality.
